The Roland-Story Norsemen and South Hamilton Hawks girls golf team returned to action on Wednesday afternoon, as they competed in the Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center.
Roland-Story would place 2nd in the tournament, with a team score of 369. The top placer for the Norsemen was freshman Brinley Carlson, who was runner-up with a score of 83 (+11), junior Makenna Carlson finished right behind her with a score of 85 (+13). The rest of the lineup rounded out with Brooke Thompson shooting a 99 (+27) and Gabriella Wakefield shooting a 102 (+30).
South Hamilton would place 5th in the tournament with a team score of 418. Junior Rebekah Carlson was the top placer for the Hawks, shooting a 94 (+22), which put her in a tie for 8th. Abby Adamski and Savanna Freeman would shoot a 106 (+34) and 107 (+35), while Amanda Ostrem rounded out the scoring by shooting a 111 (+39).
Nevada was the team champion with a score of 349, full meet results can be found on Bound.
