The Webster City Lynx and Eagle Grove Eagles girls track teams made the trip into Hardin County on Monday night, to compete in the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadet Relays in Iowa Falls. The Lynx and Eagles were joined by the host Cadets, as well as Ballard, Grundy Center and St. Edmond.
Webster City would bring home a handful of wins, starting in the girls shot put, where freshman Jakaela Cherry won with a toss of 31′ 7.5″. This would then be followed up with a win in the sprint medley in a time of 2:03.63 with the team of Mishler-Roberts-Savitski-Peck. Emma Peck would follow this up with a personal win, winning the 400m dash in a time of 1:08.10. Cloe Savitski would also put together a solid day, placing 3rd in the 100m dash in a time of 13.19, while also placing 3rd in the 200m dash in a time of 28.11.
Eagle Grove would pick up a singular win on Monday, winning the girls 4×100 relay in a time of 54.32 with the team of Jeske-Steil-Edwards-Feske. Ayden Feske would also place 2nd in the 100m dash in a time of 13.18, as Addyson Jeske also placed runner-up in the long jump with a mark of 14′ 9″. Jaymie Anderson would also pick up a 2nd-place finish in the 400m hurdles in a time of 1:19.07.
Webster City would place 4th in the meet with 99 points, Eagle Grove was 5th with 74 points, Grundy Center was the team champion with 155 points. Full meet results can be found on Bound.
