A public hearing will be a part of this Monday’s meeting of the Webster City city council. It’s to renew the city-wide urban revitalization plan for residential tax abatement. There will be a motion to accept the Iowa Economic Development Authority Downtown Assessement report. The council will consider a resolution to authorize the mayor to sign and execute an amendment to a development agreement with LIFT WC for a Catalyist Grant Extension and authrorize the assistant city manager to request a Catalyst Grant Extension from the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The council will set May 15 at 6:05 p.m. for a public hearing to amend the 2023 fiscal year budget.
In other matters, the Webster City city council will set June 19 at 6:05 p.m. for a public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the 2023 water main repair project. A request from the Hamilton County Exposition will be considered for the closing of streets for the fair parade and staging thereof on July 25.
There will be two proclamations read at Monday’s council meeting. One is for Arbor Day and the other for community beautification for the months of May and June,2023.
The council will meet in a closed session Monday for a strategy meeting in connection with collective bargaining with the Webster City Police Department.
