The Webster City golf teams returned to action on Tuesday night, as both the boys and girls took on the Greene County Rams. The girls dual was hosted at Links Public Golf Course in Webster City, while the boys dual was hosted at Jefferson Community Golf Course in Jefferson.
Webster City’s girls won with a low score of 208, while Greene County’s team score tabulated to 280. Alley Odland and Carly Appel shared the low score of 50 (+14), while Claire Bailey shot a 51 (+15) and Kennedy Hailing shot a 57 (+21) to round out the varsity lineup. Maya Telleen was the top Greene County golfer, shooting a 65.
In Jefferson, the Webster City boys managed to squeak by the Rams with a 173-177 margin. Greene County junior Jack Hansen was the individual champion, shooting a 39 (+3), while Webster City cleaned up behind Hansen. Braylon Plain was runner-up, shooting a 41 (+5), Cael Nixon was 3rd, shooting a 43 (+7) and Braden Doering tied for 4th, shooting a 44 (+8). Luke Firsching rounded out the varsity lineup, shooting a 45 (+9).
