The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys track team made the trek north into Hancock County on Tuesday afternoon, to compete in the GHV boys invite at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura High School in Garner. The Cowboys were joined by the host Cardinals, as well as Belmond-Klemme, Lake Mills, North Butler, North Iowa, North Union, Rockford, West Fork and West Hancock.
CGD would see just one meet champion, as Mason Allen continued his dominance in the discus ring, winning with a toss of 145′ 4″. However, the rest of the CGD team would step up competitively on Tuesday, the Cowboys 4×200 relay team would place 2nd in a time of 1:38.27 with the team of Greving-Lindaman-Foss-Gonzalez, while also placing 2nd in the Sprint Medley in a time of 1:42.22 with the team of Bobadilla-Gardner-Ingebritson-Greving.
CGD would place 3rd in the meet with 86 points, West Hancock was the team champion with 171 points. Full meet results can be found on Bound.
