The Roland-Story Norsemen track teams returned to action on Thursday night, as they competed in the Nevada Co-Ed Track Meet at Nevada High School. The Norsemen were joined by the host Cubs, Ballard, Carroll, Creston, Forest City, Gilbert, Grand View Christian, Grinnell and North Polk.
The Norsemen had just a few event winners on Thursday night, as Kamryn Lande was the lone individual winner in the girls 200-meter dash in a time of 27.39. The boys 4×400-meter relay would pick up a win as well, winning with a time of 3:32.13 with the quartet of McIlrath-Johnson-Greenfield-Lande.
Roland-Story’s girls would place 6th with 69 points, as North Polk was the girls meet champion with 148 points. Roland-Story’s boys would place in a tie for 5th with Nevada, with each team scoring 69 points. North Polk was the boys meet champion as well, scoring 198 points.
