WCEA and WCESA to present proposals for a new contract to the Webster City school board this Monday,February 27.

Initial proposals by representatives of the Webster City Education Association and the Webster City Educational Services Association for the 2023-24 school year will be presented to the Webster City Community School Board at their meeting this Monday evening,February 27 at 6:00 at the school office at 820 Des Moines Street. The board will meet with Dr. Chris Greiner on a strategic planning update and with Jama Hisler on a Destroy Illusions School Assembly Tour. Webster City school board members will authorize superintendent Mandy Ross to request that the state auditor’s office provide a summary of their WC2DC findings. A design proposal from FEH Design for the Bus Barn will be looked at. Other discussion items include a special education contract, a gift to the district and approve various fund raising requests. In personnel matters, the Webster City school board will approve the hiring of Kaitlynn Seeley for K through 6th grade shared music and band at Northeast Hamilton and Stratford. Resignations from maintenance technician Brandon Moore, paraeducator Sandy Benda, ninth grade football coach Brad VanDeer, eighth grade boys basketball coach Patrick Olmstead, high school night custodian Troy Draeger and bus driver Mike Keane.
There will be a work session on enrollment at the end of the regular meeting. The next scheduled board meeting will be Monday,March 20 at 6:00 p.m.
