The North Central Conference released their 2022-23 girls basketball all-conference teams on Wednesday afternoon and 3 athletes from the KQ-area were honored.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows senior Lexie Lane was one of three unanimous first-team selections, along Clear Lake’s Xada Johnson and Humboldt’s Morgan Mann. Lane had a superb senior year, averaging 15.8 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 3.2 APG and 3.3 SPG, while shooting 38.6% from the field, 32.7% from three and 73.9% from the free throw line.
Teammate Sawyer Morrical was named a third-team selection, as the junior guard averaged 10.5 PPG, 2.2 RPG, 3.3 APG and 2.4 APG. Morrical shot 38.5% from the field, but finished 2nd in the NCC in three-point percentage at 41.9%, just .1% behind Humboldt’s Ava Fischer, while also shooting 71.1% from the free throw line.
Webster City senior Livia Kasch was the lone selection for the Lynx, who averaged 6.3 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 1 APG and 1 SPG. Kasch also shot 28.8% from the field, 29.3% from three-point range and 68% from the free throw line.
