The first meeting for the month of February for the Webster City city council will be this Monday,February 6 at 6:00 in the city council chambers. One of the highlights of this meeting is the oath of office to a new member of the Webster City Police Department. Ian Holcombe will be sworn in to assume his duties with the local police force.
There will be a presentation and overview of the Traffic and Safety TEAP Study around the schools by HR Green. A resolution authorizing the mayor to sign and execute the Enhance Hamilton County Fiscal Sponsorship Request to establish a Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce Fund will be discussed. The council will look into a resolution accepting and approving the acquisition of property located 1112 Third Street.
In other matters at Monday’s council meeting the council will approve the city manager’s participation in Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government Senior Executive in State and Local Government program from June 5 to 23,2023 in Cambridge Massachusetts.
The council will look into a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign and execute an amendment with Snyder and Associates to provide additional professional services for the on-call Street Paving Specialist Agreement needed for the Splash Pad Project.
A work session between the city council and the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors will be held next Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at city hall regarding the Wilson Brewer Historic Park.
There will be a closed session of the city council on Monday for the annual evaluation of the city clerk and for a strategy meeting for collective bargaining with the Webster City Fire Department Unit.
