The Webster City Lynx basketball teams returned to action on Tuesday night, as they welcomed in long-time NCC foe Clear Lake to old Jefferson Gym at Webster City Middle School. Mark Fisher’s girls took the floor first and had a daunting task with the conference-leading Lions, but the Lynx were not overwhelmed in the first 16 minutes, and only trailed Clear Lake 33-15 at halftime. However, when the 2nd half resumed, it was the Lions who would flex there muscle by imposing their will on the Lynx en route to a 61-27 win. That lead would be slightly extended going into halftime, with Clear Lake leading 27-22. Brett Ratcliff’s squad was not about to go quietly, charging back to trail by 3 going into the 4th, and knotting up the game at 42-42 in the 4th quarter.
