Jerry Kloberdanz was appointed as the chairman for 2023 for the Hamilton County Supervisors at its reorganizational meeting this Tuesday morning. Kloberdanz succeeds Rick Young who has served as chairman for 2022. Dan Campidilli was appointed as chairman pro tem for the new year.
The supervisors appointed the staff by the newly elected officials. In the county attorney’s office,Jon Beatty as a part time county attorney, JoAnna Mitchell as office manager and Rhonda Hershvan as victim witness coordinator. In the Hamilton County recorder’s office,Marcie Miller and Ria Caquelin as office staff employees. In the county treasurer’s office,Amber Turkett as assistant county treasurer with Katie Tolle and Cheri Snell as office staff members.
Matt Matteson was sworn in last week as the new Hamilton County Treasurer.
The following resolutions were apporved by the Hamilton County Supervisors. They include providing authority to the county treasurer to invest county funds, approve the road closings this year to permit construction projects and the master matrix.
Depositories were names for the county funds to be invested. They include Availa Bank, First State Bank,WCF Financial Bank, the Williams office of the Iowa Falls State Bank and the Security Savings Bank in Stratford.
There will be no change in the hours for the courthouse. The hours remain the same from 8:00 until 4:30 p.m. Monday to Fridays. Holidays were set for the courthouse this year. The next one is the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on Monday,January 16.. The supervisors will continue to meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
