The first meeting of 2023 for the Webster City city council is set for this Tuesday evening,January 3 at 6:00 in the city hall council chambers. The meeting is delayed one day due to Monday’s federal holiday for New Year’s Day. A number of appointments will be made by the council. Some of them include Karyl Bonjour as city clerk for a two year term Elizabeth Ann Smith as deputy city clerk for the next two years. Zach Chizek as city attorney for a two year term. Adam Dickinson as the representative with Daniel Ortiz Hernandez as the alternate representative to the North Iowa Municipal Electric Cooperative Association for 2023. The second reading of an ordinance pertaining to commercial wind energy conversion systems will be read followed by waiving the third reading and to pass and adopt. The date of February 6 at 6:05 p.m. will be set for a public hearing to commence a public improvement project to construct the wastewater treatment facility project and to acquire the property for the project. The council will set Monday,January 16 at 6:05 p.m. for a meeting on approving a development agreement with Peoples Credit Union including the annual appropriation tax increment payment. There will also be a discussion and city council direction to staf on a real estate loan agreement with Webster City Daycare plus other matters.
