The Hamilton County Conservation Board Wednesday morning approved a bid from Peterson Construction of Webster City for replacing the irrigation pump house at the Briggs Woods Golf Course south of Webster City. The bid came in at $167,700. Work on the pump house will begin in the spring of next year.
The conservation board announced that fees for the Briggs Woods Golf Course and for camping at Briggs Woods, Bells Mill and Little Wall Lake will remain the same for 2023. The only exception is that there will be a slight increase of 2 percent in the hotel motel tax for the cabins at the county parks beginning in the new year.
Applications for the clubhouse manager at the Briggs Woods golf course are due before January 7,2023. You may apply by contacting the conservation office at 515-832-9570.
Jim Richardson was elected Hamilton County conservation board president for 2023 on Wednesday. Jay Heeren as vice president and Mike Brandrup as board secretary.
The next scheduled meeting of the Hamilton County Conservation Board will be on January 27,2023 at 9:30 at the conservation office in Briggs Woods Park.
