Roland-Story basketball sweeps doubleheader from Saydel

The Roland-Story Norsemen basketball teams returned to action on Tuesday night, as they host the Eagles of Saydel in Heart of Iowa Conference action at Roland-Story High School in Story City. The Roland-Story girls entered ranked #14 in Class 3A with a record of 4-1, while the Roland-Story boys entered ranked #3 in Class 2A with an unblemished 4-0 record.

Roland-Story’s boys followed, looking to continue their dominant start to the 2022-23 season against the Eagles. Darrin Berggren’s squad wasted no time in doing so, jumping out to a 24-6 lead after the first quarter, which ballooned to 51-16 at halftime.
