After making his season-debut at the Saydel Tournament on Saturday, Roland-Story junior Kade Blume saw another twist in the case of his assault charge. Blume has now seen his scheduled court hearing for today (Monday, December 12th) canceled and the case will go back to juvenile court. This development was first reported by the Ames Tribune.
Blume was charged with felony assault back on November 3rd for a hazing incident that occurred on New Years’ Day 2022, that had Blume shoving a pencil into the alleged victim’s anus. This move comes after Blume and the prosecuting attorney’s reached an agreement to move the case to juvenile court, where Blume will enter a plea deal.
Roland-Story wrestling is set to host a home tri dual on Thursday with PCM and Perry.
