South Hamilton, Roland-Story wrestling compete at Saydel quad

The Roland-Story Norsemen and South Hamilton Hawks wrestling teams made the trip to the Des Moines metro on Thursday night, to compete in a quad dual at Saydel High School in Des Moines. The Hawks and Norsemen were joined by the host Eagles and Colfax-Mingo.

Roland-Story went 1-2 in the event, with their lone win in a 40-30 decision over the hosts in Saydel. The Norsemen would fall to Colfax-Mingo 48-30 and South Hamilton 36-27. Christian Eslick was the only Norsemen wrestler who managed to go 3-0, with the falls on the night. Thomas Tjaden and Jaxon Kadolph went 2-0 in actual matches, with each wrestler getting a forfeit win as well.

South Hamilton finished 1-2 in the event as well, their lone win a 36-27 win over their rivals in Roland-Story. The Hawks would fall to Colfax-Mingo 42-36, while losing to the hosts in Saydel by a score of 45-24. Graham Peters would be the lone undefeated wrestler for South Hamilton at 2-0, picking up a 3rd win via forfeit. Keyton Remsburg, Kolby Hodnefield, Holden Klein and Ernie Taylor would finish the night 2-1.

Roland-Story returns to Saydel on Saturday for the Saydel Invitational beginning at 10 AM, South Hamilton will compete at the Panther Duals at Central Springs High School in Nora Springs, beginning at 10 AM.
