The Iowa State Patrol investigated a car semi accident at Hamilton County Road D-20 and McMurray Avenue two miles east of Webster City shortly before 3 Thursday afternoon. Reportedly a northbound 2008 Toyota Yaris driven by Rollin Eivins of Kanawha failed to yield the right of way to a 2007 Peterbuilt semi driven by Donald Bruce of Sac City. The semi struck the Eivins car broadside. The accident remains under investigation. Eivins was transported via Life Flight to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines for treatment of his injuries. . The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department,Tolle’s Automotive, Van Diest Medical Center EMS and the Blairsburg Fire Department assisted at the accident scene with the Iowa State Patrol.
