The Class 4A, District 1 all-district teams were released on Tuesday morning and the Webster City Lynx were more than well-represented. The top honor of District MVP on the offensive side was given to junior running back Jaxon Cherry, who led Class 4A this season in rushing yards (1,804), all-purpose yards (2,162), and rushing touchdowns (31), while finishing T-3rd in total touchdowns (32). Senior defensive lineman Connor Hanson was named the district Defensive Lineman of the Year, tallying 37.5 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss on the season.
The Lynx had two unanimous selections to the all-district squad, one being the aforementioned Jaxon Cherry, the other in senior offensive lineman Max Kumm. Other first-team selections were Keegan Hisler as a tight end (8 rec, 215 yards, 2 TDs), Dylan Burnette-Bingham on the offenseive line, Ty McKinney as an athlete (29/64, 619 yards, 6 TD, 82 car, 477 yards, 8 TD), Connor Hanson and CJ Hisler as an athlete on defense (25.5 tkls, 1 sack, 2 TFL, 2 INT, 1 TD).
Second-Team all-district selections for Webster City included Landon Griffin on the offensive line and Austin Mason as a defensive back (29.5 tkls, 1 TFL). Skyler Scott and Luke Estlund were honorable mention all-district for Webster City as well.
