The Webster City Police Department was sent to 1544 Superior Street shortly before 11:30 Saturday night on a report of
an assault with injuries. When officers arrived, they learned that two males had been stabbed.
Officers interviewed people in attendance at the location and learned that unknown assailants stabbed the two males
and fled prior to the law enforcement being called. No one on scene was able to identify the assailants or provide a
description of them.
Both victims were transported to the Van Diest Medical Center for treatment and then transported to a medical facility
in Des Moines for advanced care. Currently, it does not appear either victim has life threatening injuries.
Officers are diligently investigating this incident and asking for the public’s help. Anyone who has information on the
incident or information on the identity of the assailants is asked to contact the Webster City Police Department at (515)

The Webster City Police Department is asking anyone who may have cameras in the area of 1544 Superior Street that
may have captured the event or any suspicious activity to contact the police department as well.
This is believed to be an isolated incident and there does not appear to be any threat to the community. The names of
the victims are not being released at this time as this is an active investigation.
