A few safety things to keep in mind….
Make sure you leave your porch light on to greet the kids.
Wait until you get home to enjoy your goodies.
Go to the homes of the people you know to collect your treats. Don’t go to the homes for those who are perhaps not at home or you don’t know.
Always wear light-colored and/or reflective clothing so children can be seen in the dark.
Try to avoid wearing masks that will limit visibility, use face paint instead.
Make sure costumes are short enough to avoid a child tripping on it.
Webster City Police, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department and the Ellsworth Jewell Stanhope Police will monitor neighborhood streets to make sure the families will have a safe and happy night for trick or treating be it Saturday and or Monday night.
