The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys baseball team held home action on Memorial Day, as they welcomed in the the West Hancock Eagles to Hanson Park on Monday night. The Eagles entered with a record of 1-1, while the Cowboys entered at 2-4.
West Hancock was able to plate a run in the top of the 1st to take a 1-0 lead, before a mammoth top of the 2nd. The Eagles brought 10 runs across to take a commanding 11-0 lead over the Cowboys after the 2nd. West Hancock would plated two more runs in the top of the 3rd, before Clarion-Goldfield-Dows was able to get 3 runs across in the bottom of the frame to make it a 13-3 game after 3 innings. Neither team would get another run across, as West Hancock held on for a 13-3, 5 inning victory.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows returns to action on Tuesday night as they host the South Hamilton Hawks at Hanson Park, with first pitch slated for 7:30 PM.
