The North Central Conference released their boys all-conference soccer teams late Thursday night, and the Webster City Lynx were well represented. This comes after a 10-6 season for Webster City, which saw them place 3rd in the North Central Conference.
On the first-team ballot were senior Luis Montes and junior Everado Hernandez. Montes only saw 1 goal on the season, but his performances defensively were a driving force for Webster City throughout the season. Hernandez was Webster City’s leading scorer, with 10 goals on the season and shot on goal percentage of nearly 40%. Hernandez also tallied 4 assists on the season, which was tied for the team lead.
On the 2nd-team ballot was sophomore Eduardo Perez and freshman Connor Peck. Perez tallied 5 goals on the season was extremely aggressive on the offensive end, tallying 26 shots on goal on the season, along with 4 assists. Peck’s defensive prowess helped him earn second-team honors as a freshman.
