Successful Scouting for Food event held in Webster City.

Webster City Boy Scout Troop 17 and Cub Scout Pack 583 recently held their Scouting for Food event. Scouts were at the Fareway and Hy-vee Stores last Friday and Saturday hoping to fill their canoes with food to be donated to Upper Des Moines Opportunity. Yesterday, members of the troop and their leaders presented UDMO with 1,838 non perishable food items and $1,022 in monetary donations from local residents. The Scouts would like to thank the community for their generosity!
