Roland-Story, South Hamilton boys golf compete in Heart of Iowa tournament

The Roland-Story Norsemen and South Hamilton Hawks boys golf teams made the trip east on Tuesday, to compete in the Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center. The Norsemen and Hawks were joined by conferences foes West Marshall, Perry, Nevada, PCM, Saydel, and Greene County.

The meet was won by the Greene County Rams, who boasted individual champion Joe Carey with a score of 76 (+4) and runner-up Jack Hansen 77 (+5). Roland-Story saw freshman Patrick Gomez and junior Ben Greenfield lead the pack for the Norsemen, with each golfer shooting a 92 (+20). Freshman Braylen Loots shot a 94, with Jay Sanderson and Drew Stalzer rounding out the lineup with scores of 106 and 110, respectively.

South Hamilton placed 3rd, however, the individual scores have not been made available as of yet. Roland-Story placed 6th with a score of 384.
