The Roland-Story Norsemen girls golf team made the trip down US Highway 69 on Monday night, to compete in the Ballard triangular at the Ballard Golf and Country Club in Huxley. The Norsemen were joined by the host Bombers and North Polk.
Monday would be another win for the Norsemen, as sophomore Makenna Carlson and senior Ellie Erickson would tie for the individual title, both shooting 44’s (+8) on a rainy, dreary afternoon in Huxley. Sophomore Gabriella Wakefield would shoot a 48 (+12) and place third, while senior Mersadie Franklin shot a 53 (+17).
Roland-Story would take home the win with a score of 189, as Ballard finished 2nd with a score of 211. North Polk would finish in 3rd with a score of 227.
The Norsemen will return to action on Wednesday, as they will compete in the Heart of Iowa Conference Tournament at Lincoln Valley Golf Course, hosted by West Marshall.
