Webster City boys golf wins Algona triangular

The Webster City Lynx boys golf team traveled north on Friday night, to compete in an all-North Central Conference meet at Algona Country Club in Algona. The Lynx were joined by the host Bulldogs, as well as Hampton-Dumont-CAL.

It was another stellar showing by the Lynx boys, who have not lost a meet or tournament to this point in the year. Senior Garrett Arnold again proved to be the bell cow for the Lynx, shooting a team-best 38 (+2), while fellow senior Drew Schwering shot a 40 (+4). Fellow senior Beau Klaver shot a 42 (+6), freshman Cael Nixon shot a 45 (+9), as senior Devon Stoakes and sophomore Braden Doering rounded out the Lynx lineup shooting 46 (+10) each.

The Lynx took home the win with a score of 165, with Hampton-Dumont-CAL placing second with a score of 177. Algona was third with a score of 200. Webster City will return to action with their annual Briggs Woods Invite at Briggs Woods Golf Course on Thursday.
