Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf wins home triangular

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys were in action on Friday evening, as they welcomed two fellow North Central Conference teams to Clarmond Country Club in Clarion. The Clear Lake Lions and St. Edmond Gaels also made the trip to compete in Friday’s triangular.

The Cowboys saw stout performances from their top 3 golfers, with Jacob Moore taking home an individual win with a low score of 38 (+2). Fellow senior Eric Fjetland followed behind with a score of 41 (+5), while sophomore Colin Kirstein shared 3rd place with Clear Lake’s Eli Anderson, shooting a 43 (+7). Sophomore Landen Kakacek shot 45 (+9), junior Cale Kirstein shot a 46 (+10), and senior Carson Harle shot a 47 (+11).

The Cowboys won with a score of 168, as Clear Lake finished with a score of 176, and St. Edmond finished with a score of 208. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows returns to action on Tuesday, when they will face off with the Algona Bulldogs at Algona Country Club.
