The next Webster City city council meeting will be this Monday evening,May 2 at 6:00 in the city council chambers. The city council will hear comments from Cindy Bettis on alternative energy. There will also be the second reading on ordinances for offenses related to minors and for businesses within the corporate limits of Webster City. A resolution amending the terms of employment for the city clerk will be considered. In other matters, the Webster City city council will consider accepting the bid from Iowa Plains Signing to complete center line painting for the 2021-22 fiscal year. A contract will be awarded for the concrete crack seal project will be considered. Contracts will be awarded for the tuckpoint repair and exterior painting of the senior citizen center building. The date of May 16 will be set for two public hearings. One is for the amending of the city budget for 2021-22 and for the sale of city owned property in Elbert’s Addition in Webster City. A resolution to accept the goal setting session report from Callahan Municipal Consultants LLC for the city of Webster City for 2022 will be considered plus other matters.
