The Webster City Lynx girls tennis team returned to action on Tuesday night, following a 5-4 loss to Iowa Falls-Alden against the North Polk Comets of the Raccoon River Conference. Tuesday night would also be senior recognition night for the Lynx.
The afternoon kicked off with the singles portion of meet, where the Lynx won with a 5-1 advantage that included an 8-4 win from Joslin Gourley, an 8-1 win from Kayley Wibholm, an 8-0 win from Makaylee Draeger, an 8-0 win from Trinity Griffith and an 8-3 win from Jordyn Sullivan.
In the doubles portion, the Lynx took a 2-1 advantage over the Comets, as Joslin Gourley and Kayley Wibholm took home an 8-3 win, and Trinity Griffith and Makaylee Draeger picked up an 8-0 sweep in their doubles match, as Webster City secured an overall 7-2 victory over North Polk.
The 5-1 Lynx will return to action on Friday, when they host the Ballard Bombers at Webster City High School.
