Webster City city council to look at setting city wide cleanup and dropoff event for residents.

When the Webster City city council this Monday evening,there will be a discussion  on the city wide cleanup and dropoff event for this year.  The cleanup has been held  in June for the past few years allowing residents to bring their materials to the parking lot of the Webster City middle school.  The council will consider the resolution  authorizing the city manager to approve the Jaycox family request  to install a firepit memorial in memory of Scott Jaycoxt at Brewer Creek Park. A request from the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce on the closing of Des Moines Street between First and Second Streets to allow a Farmer’s Market  from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays during June through August. The council will consider a request from Kendall  Young Library to close a portion of the 600 block of Water Street on April 28 from 5:00 until 6:30 for a library game event.  There will be the third reading on ordinances for corporate limits,the two mile jurisdiction limits and for building codes in the city. A  resolution providing for the notice of hearing on proposed plans and specifications,form of contract and estimate of cost for the Webster City Water Treatment Facility Improvement Project will be looked at plus other matters. A closed session of the council will be held at the conclusion of the meeting to evaluate the performance of the city clerk.
