The Webster City girls tennis team returned to the courts on Monday evening, as they hosted their home-opener against North Central Conference foe, Fort Dodge, St. Edmond. The Lynx entered the match following a 10-1 win over North Polk last Tuesday night.
In the singles portion, Joslin Gourley led the way with an 8-2 win over the Gaels’ Anna Kolacia to kick off the day. Mackenzie Burney then defeated Katie Flaherty 8-5, before the Lynx would go on to dominate the 4 final matches to sweep the singles portion.
In the doubles portion, Joslin Gourley and Kayley Wibholm defeated Katie Flaherty and Anna Kolacia 8-0, followed by two more doubles wins for the Lynx, gave Webster City the overall 9-0 decision against the Gaels. The Lynx are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, as they host Iowa Falls-Alden.
