New Webster City Community School Board member to be announced at Monday evening ,April 11.

We will find out this Monday evening on who will be the newest member of the Webster City Community School Board.The person selected will fill the seat vacated by the death last month of Marlin Pruismann. The term for the person selected expires in November,2023.
The school board will recognize the speech students, the National Honor Society inductees for this year and the students with WCTV.
A public hearing on the fiscal year 2023 budget will be on Monday evening’s agenda with the approval to follow.
In other matters, the Webster City school board will set June 1,2022 as a snow make up day for students,approve the final reading on board policy for graduation and approve the the Iowa Local Government Risk Pool Commission Natural Gas Program Participation Agreement. The board will approve the Buena Vista Strategic Partnership agreement, approve the adding of the Middle School Art Club to the Supplemental Pay Schedule, approve the purchase of heated transport cabinets and Cambro containers for the food service department and to approve the contract renewal with the Iowa Department of Human Services for the juvenile court liaison for the Webster City schools. In personnel matters, the Webster City school board will accept the resignations of preschool teacher Chelsy Duncan, kindergarten teacher Caitlin Stone,auditorium technician Sandy Ausenhus, eighth grade assisstant basketball coach Derek Turner, prom supervisor Marta Paukert and ninth grade girls basketball coach Emily Hanson. Recommendations of hiring will come to Karen Tungsevik as the new principal for Pleasant View Elementary, high school counselor Shelley Powers, first grade teacher Shelby Axtell, preschool teachers Julie Irvin and Kaleigh Gruefe, elementary counselor Lindsay Gelder, Mark Fisher as head boys tennis coach, Chase Rattenborg as middle school boys basketball coach and Joel Kennedy as the head seventh grade boys track coach.
Webster City superintendent Dr. Mandy Ross will present her report to the board plus other matters. Webster City school board meeting time is at 6:00 at the school office at 820 Des Moines Street.
