Voters in Roland Story approve bond issue for athletic complex improvements.

Voters in the Roland Story Community School District Tuesday approved proposed improvements to the Dallas Kray Track and Kerry Van Winkle Field. The Story County auditor’s office reported 67 percent of the voters approved the $3.8 million bond issue for renovating the sports facility. The improvements will include a new track, field, concession stand and bathrooms, ramps for increased accessibility, a more secure main entrance and 150 new bleacher seats on the south side of the home section. Construction will begin after the last football game this fall. The complex should be ready by August,2023.
