McKinney resigns as Webster City basketball coach

Webster City Lynx boys basketball coach Marty McKinney tendered his letter of resignation earlier this week, stepping down as head coach after 14 seasons as the head coach for the Lynx basketball program.

McKinney took over the program in 2008, and in 14 seasons, accumulated a win-loss record of 190-113, while winning 3 North Central Conference titles in 2011, 2016 and 2017 and only suffering one losing season during his tenure.

Webster City finished the 2021-22 season with a 12-10 record and a 3rd place finish in the North Central Conference.
