Roland-Story school board holding bond vote over athletic facility upgrades

The Roland-Story school board will meet on Tuesday, March 1st to vote on a bond issue involving athletic facilities maintained by the Roland-Story Community School District.

If the bond is approved, the district will mover forward on a series of improvements on Dallas Kray Track and Kerry Van Winkle Field, as well as the surrounding athletic complex facilities. The budget proposed for the project is at 3.8 million dollars, as the board has decided to pursue nine items, including a new track surface, Concession/Restroom/Storage building, Improved ADA Accessibility, Expanded Bleachers, Recontouring of the football field, new goal posts, a new irrigation system, site fencing and the main entry gate.
