Roland-Story boys blowout South Central Calhoun in district final

The Roland-Story Norsemen boys basketball team made the trip north to Webster City on Tuesday night, to face off with the Titans of South Central Calhoun in the Class 2A, District 5 championship game. South Central Calhoun entered Tuesday night with a 17-5 record.

The Norsemen got after it from the get go on Tuesday night, with Roland-Story in front 23-6 after one, as the play of Isaiah Naylor and Jonovan Wilkinson continuously frustrated the Titans, as the two guards combined for 35 first half points as the Norsemen led 44-22 at the break. The lead only continued to grow from there as Roland-Story led 61-34 after three, with the final score standing at 80-41. Jonovan Wilkinson and Isaiah Naylor combined for 54 points in the Norsemen’s win.

Roland-Story will advance to face Garner-Hayfield-Ventura in the Class 2A, Substate 3 final at Fort Dodge High School on Saturday night. South Central Calhoun’s season ends with a 17-6 record.
