At a meeting held Monday night, the Webster City Planning and Zoning Commission approved the request of Arts R Alive to place the Kent Harfst Remembrance Sculpture in Brewer Creek Park on the west side of the Des Moines Street up on the hill between the trail and right of way. There are white flages marking the area, so the Planning and Zoning Commission had the opportunity to view the location. The Webster City city council will take action on the request at their meeting set for next Monday evening, February 21. The commission approved the Webster City Capital Improvement Plan from 2022-23 to 2026-27. The plan includes future city building, street and infrastructure projects.
Steve Struchen was named Webster City Planning and Zoning commission chairperson for 2022 with Carolyn Cross as vice-chairperson and Jim Kumm as secretary.
