The Webster City Lynx girls basketball team will hit the postseason hardwood on Wednesday night, as they make the short trip south on Highway 17 to face long-time rival Boone in Class 4A, Region 7 action. The Toreadors enter with a 3-18 record.
The Toreadors defeated the Lynx in the season opener at Webster City by a score of 40-25, but the teams have gone on separate trajectories since their first meeting. The Toreadors are led by senior Emmy Lewis, who enters averaging 9.5 PPG, while shooting 27.5% from three-point range. Natalee Danner follows closely behind, as she averages nearly 9 PPG. The Lynx will hope to have guard Kelly Stoakes back from injury, as she missed Friday’s game against Perry.
Tipoff is slated for 7 PM at Boone High School.
