Further information on Thursday’s fire north of Webster City has been released by Webster City fire chief Chuck Stansfield. Both the Webster City and Woolstock Fire Departments were summoned to 1835 White Fox Road shortly before 3:00 p.m. where a residential fire started in the kitchen area of the home. When fire fighters arrived,they witnessed smoke originated from a two story single family dwelling. The utilities to the home were shut down. There was a search of all floors to the home with no one at home at the time.Woolstock fire fighters arrived on the scene with additional personnel and assisted with a fire attack,search and overhaul. The fire was quickly put under control. Ventilation was conducted to remove all the smoke from the structure and an overhaul was done to ensure no further hot spots. An investigation was conducted and was found to inconclusive as to what started Thursday’s fire,but the origin was found to be in the middle of the first floor. Extensive damage was done to the structure including fire through two floors and heavy smoke damage. There were no injuries in yesterday’s fire.
