South Hamilton basketball travels to PCM on Tuesday

The South Hamilton Hawks basketball team will hit the roads south on Tuesday night, to face off with the Mustangs of Prairie City, Monroe in Heart of Iowa Conference action. The PCM girls sit at 6-15, while the PCM boys sit at 11-8.

The girls game gets underway with South Hamilton looking to snap a 3-game losing skid following their loss to West Marshall on Tuesday night. PCM has seen an raise in Addison Steenhoek’s level of play, as the freshman is averaging 10 PPG and her percentages continue to rise. Senior Emily Foster has done the dirty work on the block averaging nearly 6 PPG and 6 RPG on the season.

The boys game follows as South Hamilton is tasked with slowing down the Mustangs dynamic duo on offense. Senior Durant Van Dyke leads the Mustangs with nearly 18 PPG, while shooting nearly 63% from the field. Fellow senior Carson Vandelune is also averaging 16.5 PPG, while shooting nearly 44% from the field, and leads the team in assists with nearly 4 assists per contest.

Tipoff is slated for 6 PM at PCM High School in Monroe.
