The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys basketball team returned to hardwood on Monday night, to face off with the Manson-Northwest Webster Cougars of the Twin Lakes Conference. The Cougars entered with a 3-15 record on the season.
The Cowboys were attempting to bounce back following their heartbreaking 68-62 overtime loss to Humboldt on Friday. After a bit of a slow start, and foul issues from Jaxon Carpenter, Coady Olson stepped up for the Cowboys, knocking down 3, three-pointers, in addition to Connor State’s game-high 19 points. The Cowboys rode their tough defense as well, to a 65-45 win over the Cougars.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows returns to action on Tuesday night, for a girls/boys doubleheader with Hampton-Dumont-CAL in their North Central Conference finale.
