Webster City city council to meet Monday evening,February 7.

Another meeting for the Webster City city council will be this Monday evening,February 7 at 6:00 in the city hall council chambers with limited attendance only. The meeting will also be streamed via the Webster City city Facebook page and through the ZOOM conference system. The public hearing on the plans, specifications, and form of contract and estimate of cost for the furnishing of materials for the 2022 electrical underground conversion project has been canceled for this Monday. The first reading on a proposed ordinance pertaining to the Iowa Statewide Urban Design Standards for Public Improvements will be held. There will also be the approval of a change order for the Brewer Creek Shelter project. The council will authorize the mayor and city clerk to amend the salary of the city manager. In other matters, the city council will authorize the city manager to purchase a Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD truck from Karl Chevrolet and a snow plow from Truck Equipment, Incorporated. A motion rejecting a bid received for the concrete crushing project will be approved and to consider a re-bid of the project plus other matters.
Monday’s meeting of the Webster City city council will be the final one for council member Brian Miller. Miller’s last day on the council is February 8. Residents interested in serving on the city council need to get their applications to city hall before Friday,Februay 11 by sending them to karyl_bonjour@webstercity.com. The city council will make their appointment to fulfill the remaining term of Miller at the February 21st council meeting.
