The Webster City Lynx return to the hardwood on Friday night, when they host the Cadets of Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference Play. The Cadet girls enter Friday with a 6-13 record, while the Cadet boys enter with a record of 10-7.
The girls game kicks things off as two teams near the bottom of the NCC Standings try to vie for better positioning with the 3A/4A postseason pairings near. Ella Sharar has been the standout scorer for Iowa Falls-Alden this season, averaging over 12.5 PPG, while grabbing a team-high 8.3 RPG. Hailey Bridgewater is second on the team in scoring, averaging just over 7 PPG, while shooting over 28% from behind-the-arc. Webster City has been led by senior Kelly Stoakes as of late.
The boys game follows with two squads who are near the middle of the pack in the NCC, while trying to create momentum headed into the postseason. Iowa Falls-Alden is led by two prolific scorers in senior Blake Janssen and junior Andrew Bicknese, Janssen averages nearly 14.5 PPG, while Bicknese averages over 12.5 PPG. Webster City continues to follow the clutch play of Ty McKinney and Jamie Grossoehme as of late.
