The South Hamilton Hawks basketball team returns to the hardwood for a senior night showdown, as they host Heart of Iowa foe West Marshall. The West Marshall girls enter with an 18-2 record and ranked #9 in Class 3A, while the Trojan boys enter with a 6-14 record.
The girls game features a South Hamilton team looking to bounce back following their tough loss to Roland-Story on Tuesday night, where the Hawks struggled to put together consistent scoring runs all night. West Marshall is led by junior Katy Reyerson, who is averaging a double-double with over 19 PPG and over 11 RPG, while also averaging nearly 5 APG. South Hamilton will look for big bounce back performances from Makena Galetich and Hallee Feaker.
The boys game follows with two struggling teams, near the bottom of the conference standings. West Marshall is led by senior Joey Tollefson, who is averaging nearly 16 PPG and shooting over 31% from three-point range. Kinnick Christensen is averaging over 10.5 PPG and shooting over 40% from the field. South Hamilton will look to repeat the intensity and aggressiveness they played with against Roland-Story on Tuesday night.
Tipoff is slated for 6 PM at South Hamilton High School in Jewell.
