Eagle Grove basketball travels to North Iowa on Friday

The Eagle Grove basketball teams return to the hardwood on Friday night, as they make the northbound trip to Buffalo Center to take on the Bison of North Iowa, Buffalo Center. The Bison girls are 1-19, while the Bison boys are 10-9.

The girls game kicks off the night as Eagle Grove looks to pick up a season sweep of the Bison, after beating them in Eagle Grove earlier in the season. North Iowa is led by sophomore Miriam Beenken, who is averaging a double-double of 11.1 PPG and 12.0 RPG. The Eagles will look for big games from their top two scorers in Braxton Steil and Nadia Kaiser.

The boys game follows as Eagle Grove will look to pull the upset of the 10-9 Bison and pick up win #3 on the year. Riley Sabin has been the star for North Iowa this year, averaging a double-double of 12.7 PPG and nearly 11 RPG. Logan Sabin and Noah Hofmann both average in double figures for the Bison as well.

Tipoff is slated for 6:15 PM at North Iowa High School in Buffalo Center.
