South Hamilton basketball hosts rival Roland-Story on Tuesday

The South Hamilton Hawks basketball teams are back in action on Tuesday night, as they welcome in long-time Heart of Iowa Conference rival Roland-Story to Jim Marsh Court. The Roland-Story girls are 12-4 and ranked #7 in Class 2A, while the Roland-Story boys are 16-2 and receiving votes in this weeks AP Poll.

The Roland-Story girls entering having dominated their last 3 conference games, before receiving the challenge from their rivals in the Hawks. Senior Regan Barkema continues to dominate, averaging 15 PPG and shooting nearly 50% from the field. Senior Reece Johnson leads the team in assists with 4 per game, and is averaging over 8 PPG. South Hamilton looks to get leading scorer Makena Galetich back from an injury she suffered in their win to South Hardin.

The boys game follows with Roland-Story looking to replicate their dominating performance they had the first time the two teams met, which was a 71-32 win in Story City. The Norsemen are led by guards Isaiah Naylor and Jonovan Wilkinson, who average 16 PPG and 12 PPG respectively. Junior Luke Patton is the force down low, averaging a double-double of 10.3 PPG and 10.3 RPG.

Tipoff is slated for 6 PM at South Hamilton High School in Jewell.
