The South Hamilton basketball teams are back on the road on Thursday night, when they travel to Eldora to face off with the South Hardin Tigers in non-conference action. The Tigers, members of the North Iowa Cedar League, are 4-8 on the women’s side, while the men are 5-9 on the season.
The girls game kicks things off with a South Hardin team looking to pull off an upset of a South Hamilton team preparing for a season-defining stretch, with Nevada, Roland-Story and West Marshall all upcoming. The Tigers are led by sophomore Hailey Rosonke, who is averaging over 7.5 PPG on the season, and grabbing just under 4.5 RPG.
The boys game follows with South Hamilton looking to rebound after a tough loss to Saydel on Tuesday night, where the Hawks struggled offensively. South Hardin is led by senior forward Mason Sheldahl, who is averaging 17 PPG and over 7 RPG. Junior Ryan Walters leads the Tigers outside scoring, shooting 38.5% from three and averaging over 14 PPG.
Tipoff is slated for 6 PM at South Hardin High School in Eldora.
