The South Hamilton Hawks return to the hardwood on Tuesday, as they re-enter conference play with a matchup against the Saydel Eagles. The Saydel girls enter with a record of 0-12 on the season, while the Saydel boys enter with a 5-8 record.
The girls game gets underway at 6 PM, as South Hamilton will look to pickup conference win #8 on the season, and keep pace with West Marshall and Roland-Story atop the Heart of Iowa standings. Saydel is still looking for win #1 on the year, as they are led by freshman Paige Rummans, who is second on the team in scoring and first in rebounding, averaging 5.6 PPG and nearly 8 RPG. South Hamilton’s Makena Galetich is riding a hot stretch, averaging over 16 PPG on the season.
The boys game follows with South Hamilton looking to split the season series with the Eagles following a loss 46-43 loss to the Eagles back in December. Saydel is led by senior Camden Lo, who is averaging 14.5 PPG and 6.5 APG. South Hamilton looks for an improved offensive output following a 65-39 loss to Madrid on Friday night.
Tipoff is slated for 6 PM at Saydel High School in Des Moines.
