The Webster City Lynx basketball teams return to action on Tuesday, when they make the trip north and west to take on the Humboldt Wildcats in North Central Conference action. The Wildcat girls enter with an 8-6 record, while the Wildcat boys enter 11-0 and ranked #3 in Class 3A.
The Humboldt girls enter coming off a win against CGD on Thursday night, where Alexis Hansen and Morgan Mann starred for the Wildcats. Mann enters averaging 16 PPG and shooting nearly 50% from 3-point range. Alexis Hansen is the Wildcats 2nd-leading scorer, averaging nearly 11 PPG, and finished with 18 on Thursday night against the Cowgirls.
The Humboldt boys enter Tuesday after a week in which they defeated preseason NCC favorite Clear Lake, Class 2A #10 South Central Calhoun, and a previously undefeated CGD team, all in convincing fashion. The Wildcats were led by 16 three-pointers on Thursday night, to take down the Cowboys. Humboldt averages 9 three-pointers made per game, and will look to use the 3-ball to down the Lynx.
Tipoff is slated for 6:15 PM at Humboldt High School.
