Eagle Grove’s girls were still in search of win #1 on the season coming into Friday, but fortunate for them, their time had finally arrived. The Eagle led 20-9 at halftime, before North Iowa made a push in the 3rd, as they cut the lead to 7. Eagle Grove was able to finish, securing a 41-32 win over the Bison and putting the Eagles in the win column for the first time in 2021-22.
Eagle Grove’s boys entered looking to bring in their second win of the season, against a North Iowa team that were looking to get back to .500. The Bison kept Eagle Grove at arms length from the get go, opening up a 20-9 lead at the end of the first, and not allowing Eagle Grove to ever cut it back to double-digits en route to a 59-33 win. Drake Canavan and Jordan Morris combined for 31 of the Eagles 33 points in the game.
Next action for Eagle Grove is on Monday, when they travel to Fort Dodge to take the Gaels of St. Edmond.
